Bold, optimistic, driven, and armed with passion and purpose. Meet the Jamaican children’s author of I am Greatness, Nekesha Burrell. She humbly wears many hats.
She has been a Marketing Specialist in the corporate space for over 13 years prior to the pandemic.
She was divinely aligned with Internet Income Jamaica, an online training powerhouse, through a partnered initiative with Jamaica's NCB Foundation and became one of their trainers for their yearly Level Up Program in 2021. She has a hunger for giving back and, revolutionizing the marketing industry's approach with new innovative strategies.

My mission is to pay it forward. Every nugget, advice, and mentorship needed I want to be there to provide
Whether it is a new business owner, student or just to inspire someone to be their best self.
I would love to know that I was responsible for changing just one person's mindset to become aware of their best self and live the life they desire.
WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO WRITE CHILDREN'S BOOKS?
I have a 3-year-old who just loves to hear stories. I made so many up, I decided to start writing them. One thing lead to another and now I have over a dozen books written with her direction on how they end. I am passionate about changing the mindset of kids to be bold, open-minded, inventive, and have the freedom to explore their creative selves.
I challenge the phrase" WHOM do you want to become when you grow up, to WHAT do you want to do as I grow up?"
I am adamant for my daughter and other growing kids to be entrepreneur-minded as they grow and have support to explore their inner greatness, self-confidence, financial sense, and independence early on. I am working on a new book, that will help our kids develop an independent belief system and nudge them with the help of their parents to awaken the entrepreneur within them. I can't wait to introduce it to our new generation of prodigies.
